A couple weekends ago, our effects makeup artist, Julian Bonfiglio, created plaster casts for the Wasp-Man costume based on our lead Wasp-Man, Jupiter Collins. During this session, casts were made of Jupiter’s head, hands, and most of his body, from his neck down to his knees. For Jupiter’s head, a layer of silicone was applied before the plaster bandages. Julian will use these casts to create a model of Jupiter to use as a base for sculpting the Wasp-Man.
Kevin Jones, the director of photography for Wasp-Men From Mars!, was on-hand to film the process while I took photos.
A short video of the lifecast will be coming later, but for now, here are a few photos.
