Wasp-Men from Mars! has invaded Amazon Prime Video. Stream it, rent it, or buy it today!
For Suzie, James, and Timmy, it’s the end of the world. And that’s BEFORE aliens invade Earth.
Wasp-Men From Mars! is a sci-fi short film inspired by the monster invasion films of the 1950’s but with the more modern sensibility of today’s sci-fi and horror. It’s like Doctor Who with a dash of The World’s End.
It starts in 1959 with three teenagers on a stargazing trip that turns into an evening of heartbreak, jealousy, and sexual confusion — and then giant wasps from outer space invade Earth and make things even worse. The teens need to put their feelings aside to survive the night. (These are teenagers we’re talking about.)
Making an alien invasion film, even a 50’s-style one, isn’t cheap. We need your help to make Wasp-Men From Mars! the awesome movie it deserves to be, so we’ve launched a Kickstarter campaign to help for the monster costumes, which
are being made by special effects makeup artist Julian Bonfiglio, a contestant on Season 8 of Syfy’s Face Off. Our goal is to create three strange and terrifying Wasp-Men for the film.
Here’s a few of the many rewards that we’ll be offering our Kickstarter contributors.
The Movie Itself
See Wasp-Men From Mars! before anyone else and choose how you want to watch it: MP4 download, DVD, or Blu-Ray.
Get an 11″ x 17″ copy of our teaser poster. A special version autographed by cast and crew will also be available.
Skype with the Filmmakers
Have an hour-long Skype conversation with the filmmakers. Ask them anything you’d like about filmmaking, crowdfunding, or giant insects from outer space.
Attend the Premiere in San Francisco
See Wasp-Men From Mars! at the historic Castro Theatre in San Francisco and go to the afterparty with the filmmakers! You can also have dinner with the filmmakers before the film. Please note: transportation and accommodation will NOT be provided.
A Wasp-Man Costume From the Movie
This is the biggie. Get one of the rubber monster costumes made by special effects makeup artist Julian Bonfiglio and used in the film itself. We promise to ship you the costume that’s in the best condition, but be aware that it may have some wear and tear from filming.
We’re the Wasp-Men, and we’re on our way to conquer Earth and enslave you puny humans.
Have a nice day.
